The Factory

Company history :

CID Plastiques was created on June 1, 1989.
Beginning with 4 injection presses aimed at a particular market, CID diversified by exchanging 2 of these presses for 2 extrusion lines in order to meet profile requirements.
To propose a wider range of products to its clients, CID developed and launched a range of swimming pool accessories including surface skim nets, depth leaf rakes, large and small pool brushes, vacuum devices, test kits and floating chlorine dispensers. The company also invested in 2 ultrasound welding machines to weld and assemble these accessories.

1997
Keen to offer a complete service for its clients, CID invested in a thermoforming machine and high-frequency welding machines. CID now had the capacity to design, manufacture, assemble, pack and ship products, in line with its goal of handling the production of items "from the idea through to the end product".

1998
Extension of its premises and acquisition of the "cutting" activity.

1999
CID acquired a high-performance computer-aided management and manufacturing system enabling it to track merchandise from the order stage right through to delivery.

2000
CID prepared for and obtained ISO 9002 certification.

2003
In order to bring it closer to its goal of achieving total customer satisfaction, CID obtained ISO 9001 V2000 certification.

2005
The company moved all its activities to a 16800 m², 20 Km to the east of Montpellier, alongside the RN113 primary road and the future high-speed train line. In doing so, CID moved into a brand new 6000 m² factory.
Projects underway: ensuring the sustainable development of our "cutting" activity and the introduction of a marketing and sales team.

2006
To take customer satisfaction further, CID integrated a new automatic process for thermal welding and cutting of air bubble film and EPE, to produce sheaths, formats and bags to the required dimensions.

2007
To adapt to a market where change is in full swing, CID sought to stand out from the competition by investing in an extrusion machine for air bubble film so as to ensure full control over the entire process, from the pellet right through to storage.
